Abstract

Epilepsy is a common neuropsychiatric disease with a chronic latent period, manifested in the susceptibility of the organism to the sudden appearance of convulsions. The restructuring of neuronal circuits, which produces a lesion with increased excitability, is called epileptogenesis. The formation of new neurons in the hippocampus based from dividing progenitor cells in the mature grain of new cells
